Valeria Cavalloro graduated cum laude in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Pavia in 2017 under the supervision of Prof. Simona Collina. After that, she attended the postgraduate Master Course in Drug Design and Development at the same University. She defended her Ph.D. thesis in Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Pavia, mentored by Prof. Emanuela Martino. She was a visiting student at Inte: ligand (Vienna) under the supervision of Dr. Sharon Bryant. She has been awarded the Biagio Alberto Della Beffa prize instituted by Indena (Settala, Milan), an Italian company that carries out cutting-edge phytochemical research and production of bioactive compounds from natural sources. After a period in their R&D team, she also experienced in the same company the work as Business Developer. She is currently involved in the discovering of novel anticancer and antimicrobial agents from natural sources.
